Team behind new Arrow Pictures docuseries to discuss the making of I, Sniper

Women in Film & TV (UK), the leading membership organisation for women working in creative media in the UK is to host an exclusive event for its members to discuss I, Sniper, Arrow Pictures' landmark crime serial which will receive its UK premiere on Channel 4 at 10pm on Monday 24 January.

Creative Director John Smithson will be joined by Series Director Ursula MacFarlane and Producer Mary-Jane Mitchell to discuss their roles in this remarkable series, over 4 years in the making and their journey to production.

This gripping, minute-by-minute account of the Washington DC Sniper case reveals the events that led a 17-year-old and his 41-year-old accomplice to commit unthinkable acts of violence. In an six-hour television event, alongside a wealth of testimony from victims, survivors, families and investigators, Malvo recounts his story in a series of phone calls from his Supermax cell at Red Onion State prison in Virginia, where he is in solitary confinement. From his childhood of deprivation in Jamaica to the murders in forensic detail, this definitive account of an iconic American crime story examines how Malvo came to be a mass murderer at the age of just seventeen.

The event, which will be an online webinar via zoom, takes place on 20 Jan, 18:00 – 19:00 GMT - tickets are available here.
