The second instalment of Arrow Media's anthology that goes inside the twisted minds of serial killers premieres on Investigation Discovery on New Year’s Day.
Following on from the success of our first Mind of a Monster, the second feature in this strand focuses on Aileen Wuornos, America's most notorious female serial killer.
Seven men in and around Marion County, Florida fell victim to an elusive serial killer starting in late 1989 through November 1990. As detectives slowly pieced together the evidence, they discovered the killer they were after was a woman named Aileen Wuornos. Her subsequent arrest and trial would forever solidify her place in history as America’s most notorious female serial killer. This film features chilling new insights into Wuornos’s life and personality, utilising personal letters and drawings from Aileen herself to help paint a picture of the twisted motives behind her deadly actions. Aileen Wuornos: Mind of a Monster premieres Wednesday, 1 January at 10/9c on Investigation Discovery, the number one network for true-crime and mystery programming.
